2) Does the sound engineer bring their own equipment
No. Sound engineers operate equipment — sound systems, mixing consoles, speakers, and amplifiers are rented separately from Rentitem.lk. This allows you to choose the exact setup for your venue.
3) What mixing consoles can they operate
Our engineers are experienced with industry-standard digital consoles including Yamaha CL/QL series, Allen & Heath dLive, Midas M32, Behringer X32, and Soundcraft Vi series.
4) What is the standard booking duration
Standard booking is 8 hours, which includes setup time and event operation. Overtime is charged at 150% of the hourly rate for any additional hours beyond the booking.
5) How early should I book
We recommend booking at least 3-5 days in advance to secure availability. For large events or peak season dates (December-January, April), book 7-14 days ahead.
6) Do you provide service outside Colombo
Yes. Our operators are available island-wide across Sri Lanka — Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Negombo, Jaffna, and all other locations. Travel charges apply for locations outside Colombo district.
7) What happens if the operator is unable to attend
In the rare event of an emergency, Rentitem.lk will arrange a qualified replacement operator at no additional cost. We maintain a network of backup professionals for every category.
8) Is food provided for the operator
The client must arrange food and refreshments for the operator for events exceeding 4 hours. This is standard industry practice across Sri Lanka.
9) What is the cancellation policy
Cancellations made 3+ days before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24-72 hours forfeit 50% of the booking fee. Within 24 hours forfeits the full booking fee. See our Terms and Conditions for details.

- Venue power supply (230V) must be available: Generator rental available separately.
- Sound check time (30-60 min before event) is included in the booking duration.
- Travel charges apply for locations outside Colombo district.
- Food and refreshments must be arranged by the client for events over 4 hours.
- Advance booking recommended: minimum 3 days notice.
- Cancellation within 24 hours of event forfeits the booking fee.
