How many people can this PA system cover?

Accepted Answer

The single 800W 12 inch active speaker suits small to medium gatherings such as meetings, functions and modest wedding setups. For a large hall, outdoor crowd or wider stereo coverage, ask us about a package with more speakers or higher power.

Do the microphones need a separate receiver?

Accepted Answer

No. The TX dual handheld microphone system is a wireless set with its own receiver, and it is powered by the included AA rechargeable battery pack. It gives you two handheld mics for speeches, announcements and vocals.

Can I connect my laptop or phone to play music?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the included 3 metre RCA-to-3.5mm AUX Y cable to connect a laptop, phone or media player into the Ashley X8 mixer. Bring your own source device, as it is not part of the kit.

Is an operator included with this rental?

Accepted Answer

An operator is not included by default. A trained technician can be added through the operator booking section if you need on-site setup, sound-check or hands-on support during the event.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A refundable security deposit is required and is returned after the kit is checked back in working condition. A valid NIC is required at handover for Sri Lankan customers, and a passport for foreign customers.

The standard minimum rental is one day (24 hours). Daily, weekly and monthly rates apply, with discounts on longer bookings.

Do you deliver outside Colombo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Same-day delivery is available in Colombo and suburbs. Next-day or scheduled delivery is available island-wide, including Kandy, Galle, Matara, Jaffna, Negombo and Anuradhapura. Delivery is handled in-house and charged by distance and load.

Can I use this PA system outdoors?

Yes, for a covered outdoor area with mains power nearby. Keep the speaker, mixer and cables out of direct sun and away from rain, and confirm a safe power point before the event.

Do I need any extra cables or power points?

Accepted Answer

The kit comes with a 15 metre XLR cable, a 3 metre AUX Y cable and two 15 metre 3-socket extension cords, which cover most room layouts. If your source device sits far from the mixer or you need a longer speaker run, tell us and we will add the right cable.

If a rented item malfunctions during the rental period, we aim to replace it within 2 hours. Otherwise we refund the rental cost for the affected day or the full period, per our technical error guarantee.
