Rent the Godox 40x40cm flash softbox to turn a hard, direct speedlite into a broad, soft light for portraits, events and product shots.

It comes with an S-type speedlite bracket and a carrying bag, folds down for transport and sets up in minutes.

This is a Godox SFUV4040 40x40cm (about 15.7 x 15.7 inch) square flash softbox: a light modifier that sits in front of a shoe-mount speedlite or flash to soften and spread its light.

On its own a bare flash throws a hard, contrasty beam with sharp shadows.

Firing that same flash through this softbox turns it into a wide, even source that wraps around your subject for smoother skin tones and cleaner highlights.

The softbox is made of nylon fabric with a silver reflective interior that bounces the flash forward for good efficiency from a small unit, and it uses an inner diffuser panel plus a removable front diffuser to control the spread of light.

The softbox comes with a Godox S-type speedlite bracket, which is the part that makes it work with a flash.

The bracket cradles the speedlite at the rear, holds the softbox in front of it, and mounts on a standard light stand so you can position the light where you want it, on or off the camera.

It is a compact, travel-friendly modifier: it collapses like a folding reflector and packs into the included carrying bag, so it is quick to move between locations and easy to set up in a home studio or on site.
