A Sennheiser head-worn headset microphone with a Mini 3-Pin locking connector, built to pair with Sennheiser wireless bodypack transmitters.
It keeps both hands free for fitness instructors, presenters, lecturers and worship leaders.
This is a Sennheiser head-worn (headset) cardioid condenser microphone based on the Sennheiser ME 3 platform.
It sits over the ears with a light, adjustable boom that places the capsule at the corner of the mouth, so it captures one speaker's voice at close range and stays consistent as they move.
The capsule is a pre-polarised condenser with a cardioid (front-facing) pickup pattern and a 50 Hz to 18 kHz response, which keeps speech clear and natural while rejecting sound from the sides and rear to reduce feedback and crowd noise.
The headset is terminated with a Sennheiser Mini 3-Pin locking connector.
That means it is not a standalone microphone: it plugs into a compatible Sennheiser wireless bodypack transmitter, most commonly from the evolution wireless (EW) series, which clips to the belt and sends the audio to a matching Sennheiser receiver on your PA system.
The headset draws its bias voltage from that transmitter, so it needs no phantom power and no battery of its own.
The light frame, soft ear hooks and thin cable make it comfortable to wear for a full class, service or all-day event, and the boom can be adjusted so the capsule sits just off the corner of the mouth for even pickup.
To use it you supply, or rent alongside it, a compatible Sennheiser Mini 3-Pin bodypack and receiver, and route that receiver into your PA, mixer or speaker. On its own the headset does not transmit any audio.
