Far Cry New Dawn (PS4)

An open-world shooter to rent for the weekend

Far Cry New Dawn on PS4 disc, ready to play solo or in two-player co-op. Rent it for a weekend, a party or to try before you buy, with same-day delivery in Colombo.

Far Cry New Dawn is a first-person open-world action shooter for the PlayStation 4, published by Ubisoft.

It is a post-apocalyptic spin-off set in Hope County years after the events of Far Cry 5, so you can jump straight in without playing the earlier game.

You explore a colourful, overgrown wasteland, take on outposts, scavenge for supplies and build up a home base while facing off against the Highwaymen who now rule the region.

This is the physical game disc for rent, not a download code, and it arrives in its game case. It runs on any standard PlayStation 4 or PS4 Pro console.

The full story can be played on your own or in two-player online co-op, where a friend drops in and stays for the whole campaign.

Light RPG systems add weapon and enemy tiers, perk progression and crafting from scavenged supplies, and the Expeditions mode sends you to fresh randomised locations for extra loot-driven missions.

The single-player campaign works offline, while online co-op needs internet and, in most cases, an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Because it is the disc only, you supply or rent a PlayStation 4 console, a controller and a TV to play.

Renting is a low-cost way to finish the story, share it with a friend, or test the game before deciding to buy your own copy.
