A 2-metre balanced XLR audio cable, male to female 3-pin, for short runs between audio gear such as a microphone and a mixer, or a mixer and a powered speaker.
It is tested before every rental, so it just works on the day.
This is a 2-metre balanced analog audio cable fitted with a standard 3-pin XLR male connector on one end and a 3-pin XLR female connector on the other.
XLR is the everyday connector for professional and event audio, and the balanced 3-pin design carries the signal on two conductors plus a ground.
That layout lets the cable reject hum and interference so the sound stays clean, even near power leads and stage lighting.
Because it is male on one end and female on the other, the cable also plugs straight into most XLR gear and can be joined end to end with another XLR cable when you need a little more reach.
At 2 metres it is a short cable made for tight, nearby connections rather than long runs across a stage.
It suits a microphone sitting close to a mixer, a mixer output feeding a powered speaker or monitor beside it, a signal feed into a DI box, or in-rack patching between processors where a longer cable would only add clutter.
The standard 3-pin wiring passes 48V phantom power from a mixer or audio interface to a condenser microphone without any change.
It carries analog audio only, so it does not handle video or digital ports and pairs well with the microphones, mixers and speakers we also rent.
