The BOYA BY-WM8 Pro-K2 is a complete two-person wireless lavalier microphone system for hire in Sri Lanka. It is a dual-channel kit, which means one dual-channel receiver picks up two separate wireless signals at once.
The rental pack pairs that receiver with two bodypack transmitters, and each transmitter has its own clip-on omnidirectional lavalier mic.
Two people can therefore be miked at the same time from a single receiver, without booking two separate single-mic kits or juggling two receivers on your camera.
The receiver has both a 3.5mm output and an XLR output, so it feeds cameras and DSLR/mirrorless bodies, smartphones, audio recorders and PA mixers.
An LCD screen shows channel, RF strength and audio level, and a headphone output lets you monitor both channels live as you record.
It runs in the UHF band across 48 selectable channels with PLL-synthesised tuning and digital companding for a stable, clean signal, and it is rated to about 100 metres of line-of-sight range.
The receiver and both transmitters run on AA batteries, which we supply fresh with every rental.
