This is the TX handheld wireless microphone, the transmitter half of a wireless vocal system. It is a handheld mic with a built-in UHF radio transmitter.

You hold it and speak or sing into the grille, and instead of running down a cable, the sound is sent over the air on the UHF wireless band to a matching TX wireless receiver.

The capsule is cardioid, meaning it focuses on the voice directly in front of the grille and rejects noise coming from behind and to the sides, which keeps speech and vocals clear on a busy stage or in a full hall.

The handheld runs on AA batteries, so there is nothing to plug into it and nobody to trip over a lead.

It is important to understand that this listing is the handheld transmitter only. On its own it cannot be heard.

To use it you also need the matching TX wireless receiver, which picks up the radio signal, and a mixer, amplifier or powered PA speaker that the receiver feeds into to actually play the sound to your audience.

The handheld and receiver are a matched pair set to the same channel, so once they are paired you simply switch on and talk.
