The 800W figure is a peak rating for the built-in amplifier, which is the marketing headline used across this class of speaker. The continuous RMS power is lower, typically in the 150W to 250W range for a 12-inch cabinet. Peak watts describe short bursts, so judge loudness by the venue size rather than the headline number.

Is the speaker tested before delivery?

Yes. Every unit is checked for full-volume output, all inputs, and visual condition before dispatch. If your speaker has any issue on the day, contact us within 24 hours and we will replace it.

Do I need a separate mixer or amplifier?

Accepted Answer

No amplifier is needed because this is an active speaker with the amp built in. You can plug a microphone or a music source straight into it. If you want to run several microphones or sources at once, add an audio mixer to your rental.

How loud is it and what venue size does it suit?

A single 12-inch cabinet comfortably covers an indoor room of roughly 100 to 200 guests for speech and background music. For a larger hall or a busy dance floor, rent a pair or step up to a 15-inch cabinet. Tell us your headcount and we will recommend the right setup.

Yes. The speaker has Bluetooth, so you can stream from a phone, tablet or laptop without cables. You can also connect a wired source through the RCA, XLR or 6.35mm jack inputs if you prefer.

Yes, for dry outdoor events with mains power to hand. The cabinet is not weather-sealed, so keep it out of rain, standing water and long spells of direct sun. It needs AC power, so arrange a socket or a generator for a field or garden venue.

Yes. A loop or mix output lets you daisy-chain a second cabinet for wider coverage, and the speaker pairs well with a subwoofer when you need extra low end for a dance floor. We rent both, so add them to your booking.

A tripod stand is not included by default. The cabinet has a 35mm pole socket on the underside so it sits on a standard speaker tripod. You can add a stand to your rental, and we recommend one for clear coverage over a seated crowd.

What ID and deposit do I need?

Accepted Answer

Sri Lankan customers need a National Identity Card and a refundable security deposit. Foreign customers need a passport and may be asked for a higher deposit per company policy. The deposit is returned after the unit comes back in good condition.

Yes. Colombo and suburbs get same-day delivery, and island-wide delivery is available through our courier partners. Speakers are heavy items, so the delivery charge depends on the size and the location.

What happens if the speaker is damaged during the rental?

Minor wear is expected and not charged. Drops, water damage, blown drivers, broken inputs or major faults from mishandling are charged from the security deposit per our damage policy. Contact us straight away if anything goes wrong.
