Sennheiser e945 Handheld Dynamic Microphone

Clear, projecting live vocals with a pro Sennheiser mic

The Sennheiser e945 is a professional handheld wired dynamic vocal microphone for live stage vocals, speeches and events.

Its supercardioid capsule keeps the voice clear and forward while rejecting feedback on loud stages.

The Sennheiser e945 is a professional handheld wired dynamic vocal microphone from the German audio maker Sennheiser, part of the evolution 900 series built for demanding live use.

It uses a supercardioid pickup pattern that focuses tightly on the voice directly in front of the capsule while strongly rejecting sound from the sides and rear, which gives it strong resistance to feedback in loud stage environments.

The dynamic capsule captures clear, projecting vocals with an extended top end and high output, so the voice cuts through a busy mix.

It has a rugged all-metal body with a shock-mounted capsule and a hum-compensating coil to keep handling and electrical noise out of the signal.

The e945 connects through a standard 3-pin XLR output and needs no phantom power and no batteries.

Because it is a passive dynamic microphone, it needs a mixer, audio interface or amplifier plus a speaker, and an XLR cable, to be heard.

It is not a wireless microphone and not a USB microphone, so it does not plug straight into a phone or laptop.

It offers a 40Hz to 18kHz frequency response with 350 ohm nominal impedance and 2.0 mV/Pa sensitivity, and weighs about 330 grams without a cable.

This makes it a dependable, no-fuss choice for live singing, MC work, speeches and worship where clear vocal projection and feedback control matter.
