One end is a 3.5mm TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) male plug, the small consumer-size jack found on laptops, phones, tablets, media players and the headphone output on many mixers.
The other end is a 6.35mm TRS male plug, the larger standard jack used on mixing consoles, powered speakers, audio interfaces, keyboards, DJ controllers and amplifiers.
Because both plugs are TRS, the cable keeps the left and right channels together in one lead and delivers a true stereo signal end to end.

This is the short version of the single stereo pair; a 10 metre version is available when the source and the input are further apart.
The cable is fully passive and needs no power or batteries, and it is shielded to keep the audio clean. It carries line and headphone level stereo audio only.
Both channels pass through only when the 6.35mm socket at the far end is a stereo TRS jack, since a mono jack drops one channel. It is not made for guitars, microphones or amplified speaker output.
