Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a story-driven, single-player action-adventure game for the PlayStation 4, made by Naughty Dog and published by Sony.

It is a PS4 console exclusive, which means it was built for PlayStation and does not play on Xbox or PC. You rent the physical game disc, which you load into a PS4, PS4 Pro or PS5 disc console to play.

The game follows retired treasure hunter Nathan Drake, drawn back into one last globe-spanning hunt for a legendary pirate fortune alongside his long-lost brother.

It is best known for its film-quality visuals, big set-piece action moments and a long, cinematic solo campaign that you play through from start to finish like an interactive adventure movie.

Alongside the main story there is an optional online multiplayer mode for playing with others over the internet, which needs a PlayStation Plus subscription.

The single-player campaign itself plays fully offline, so it does not need any internet or subscription to enjoy.

Because you are renting the disc rather than buying it, it is an easy and low-cost way to experience one of the PlayStation's most acclaimed adventures over a weekend, a school holiday or a long trip, then simply hand it back, with no full-price purchase for a game you may only play through once.
