A SanDisk Extreme PRO 256GB microSD card for hire, built for serious photo, video and field recording.
It rents with a full-size SD adapter and is tested and formatted clean before every rental, so it is ready to drop into your camera, drone or recorder on the day.
This is a SanDisk Extreme PRO 256GB microSDXC card (model SDSQXCD-256G-GN6MA), a flagship UHS-I card made for demanding capture.
It carries 256GB of storage with read speeds up to 200MB/s and write speeds up to 140MB/s, and it is rated UHS Speed Class 3 (U3), Video Speed Class 30 (V30) and A2 for application performance.
The V30 and U3 ratings hold the minimum sustained write speed needed for continuous 4K UHD video, while the A2 rating speeds up random read and write for app loading on phones and single-board devices.
It ships with a full-size SD adapter, so the same card works in a microSD slot on an action camera, drone or phone, and in a full-size SD slot on a mirrorless or DSLR body, a card reader or a laptop.
SanDisk rates the card as shockproof, waterproof, temperature-proof and X-ray-proof, so it holds up to outdoor venues, dust, humidity and airport screening.
For Sri Lankan crews it is a workhorse for long multi-cam shoots, drone aerials, gimbal and action-cam capture, podcast field recorders and fast phone storage, without the cost of owning a card you use only a few times a year.
