It reads across a range of about 30 to 130 dB with a resolution of 0.1 dB, responds over a frequency range of 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz, and offers switchable A and C frequency weighting so you can match the reading to the job.
It is battery powered, running on 2 x AAA batteries, and is very light at about 0.13 kg, so it slips into a pocket or kit bag for site walks and quick checks.
