Does this vacuum cleaner need a battery, or can I plug it directly into a wall socket?

The Philips FC8293 is a corded bagged canister vacuum that runs on AC mains power. Simply plug it into any standard CEB wall socket - no battery required. The 9 meter action radius gives you good room coverage without needing extension cords in most spaces.

Will this work during CEB power cuts, or do I need a generator?

This vacuum requires continuous mains electricity and will not run during power cuts. For cleaning during outages, you would need a generator or inverter system. We recommend planning deep cleaning sessions for times when grid power is stable.

Is the 3L dust bag included, or do I need to buy s-bags separately?

Rental units come with a clean s-bag installed and ready to use. The 3L capacity handles several cleaning sessions before needing replacement. If you need spare bags during a long rental period, standard Philips s-bags are widely available at supermarkets and hardware stores across Sri Lanka.

Can I use this on wet floors during monsoon season, or is it only for dry surfaces?

The FC8293 is designed for dry vacuuming only - do not use it on wet floors or damp surfaces. Water damage to the motor or Super Clean Air filter is not covered under standard rental terms. For post-monsoon cleanup, dry the area thoroughly first or consider renting a wet-dry vacuum instead.
