No. It uses piezo-electric ignition, so you can light it by pressing the built-in spark button without any batteries, charging, or external power. The spark is generated mechanically.

What type of gas canister do I need to buy?

You need a standard EN 417 7/16 threaded butane or butane-propane mixed gas canister. These are commonly sold at camping shops and some hardware stores in Sri Lanka. The stove does not come with a canister.

Can I use this during CEB power cuts to cook at home?

Yes, this is a popular backup during power or LPG outages. It is lightweight at only 110g and sets up in seconds on any flat surface. Just ensure good ventilation when using indoors.

How stable is the foldable pot support for a regular pan?

The fire plate is roughly 9.5 x 9.5 cm with fold-out pot supports. It handles small to medium pots and pans well for single-person or light cooking. Very large or heavy cookware may feel less stable.
