Is this tent waterproof enough for monsoon rain in Sri Lanka?

The 190T polyester fly sheet has a PU coating that handles steady rain, but in heavy monsoon conditions water can seep through seams and zippers over time. We recommend pitching on higher ground and using the included guy ropes for extra stability in wind. WhatsApp +94 777 186 500 if you need advice on site selection.

How many people can actually sleep inside comfortably?

The floor area fits three sleeping mats side by side, but most renters find it comfortable for two adults with gear, or two adults plus one child. Three full-sized adults will fit with minimal luggage space. Check the size descriptor on your booking confirmation against your group size.

Does the tent need electricity to set up?

No power source is needed. The tent uses manual fiberglass or aluminium poles and clips, so CEB power cuts do not affect setup. A single person can pitch it in 10-15 minutes with practice.

Is the inner mesh layer enough to keep mosquitoes out?

The full mesh inner tent blocks most insects when the outer fly is zipped closed, but small gaps can form at ground level on uneven terrain. Bring personal repellent for backup, especially near wetlands or paddy fields. The mesh also provides ventilation on humid nights.

Camping Tent 3 Person - Camping Gears for rent

The Double Layer Tent 3 Person uses a waterproof PU-coated polyester rainfly over a breathable mesh inner, with seam-sealed taping and a bathtub-style groundsheet.

The free-standing dome pitches in minutes with colour-coded poles and clips, and the double-wall design keeps condensation out of the sleeping area.

Three adults sleep comfortably on standard mats, with enough headroom to sit upright and a small vestibule for gear storage.

In Sri Lanka, this size suits weekend trips to Horton Plains, Knuckles, Wilpattu, and Yala safari camps, as well as beach campouts at Tangalle and Pasikuda, plus scout camps and overnight stargazing setups.
