Each filter is made from multicoated optical glass held in an ultra-light GimbalSafe frame, so the drone's gimbal still self-calibrates on start-up and flies without strain.
A neutral-density filter works like sunglasses for the camera. It reduces how much light reaches the sensor without changing the colour, which lets you keep a slower, cinematic shutter speed in daylight.
That slower shutter is what gives smooth, natural motion blur instead of the sharp, stuttery look you get when a bright scene forces a very fast shutter.
The coatings are dustproof, scratch-resistant, oilproof and waterproof, and the light reduction is colour neutral so skies and skin tones stay true with little correction.
The filters snap on with a press-fit frame and stay in place through full flight manoeuvres, and the heavy ND1000 doubles as a daytime long-exposure filter for milky water and blurred motion.
