Being an intelligent battery, it works with the Avata 2's onboard management system to report cell voltage, temperature and remaining capacity in the DJI Fly app, and it carries built-in protection against over-charge, over-discharge, short-circuit and over-temperature.
It slots directly into the Avata 2 airframe and tops up from a DJI Avata 2 charging hub in about 45 minutes, or in-drone in about 88 minutes.
This listing is the battery on its own, so you rent the spare power you need without paying for a whole extra kit, and hand it back when your shoot is done.
It fits the DJI Avata 2 only, and it does not carry any camera, gimbal or sensors of its own: its single job is to power the drone safely and reliably.
