The DJI RC-N1 is the everyday DJI drone remote controller that uses your own phone as the display. Clamp the phone on top, connect the cable and fly through the DJI Fly app.
This is the DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller, the standard hand controller that ships with several DJI consumer drones. Unlike a screen controller, it has no built-in display of its own.
Instead you clamp your own smartphone onto the top of the unit, connect it with the included phone cable and run the DJI Fly app, which becomes the live-view screen and the control surface for the aircraft and its camera.
The controller weighs about 385 g and has detachable control sticks that unscrew and stow inside the body for easy packing.
It gives a 1080p live feed at 30 frames per second on the connected phone and supports transmission of up to 10 km on compatible drones under ideal conditions.
It pairs with DJI drones that officially support the RC-N1, including the Mini 2, Mini 3, Air 2, Air 2S and Mavic 3, though exact compatibility varies by model and firmware, so it is worth confirming your aircraft before you book.
Important to know: this is the controller by itself. It has no camera, no gimbal and no flight sensors, so it does not fly on its own and does not set your image quality.
It is the input device that lets you pilot a DJI drone using a phone you already own, which is why so many operators keep one on hand as a spare or a lighter alternative to a dedicated screen controller.
