Cellular range for your DJI drone

A small 4G LTE dongle that plugs into a compatible DJI drone and adds a cellular data link for longer range and Network RTK. Rent it as an accessory to your drone kit.

The DJI Cellular Module is a compact USB-powered 4G LTE modem that connects to a compatible DJI drone or remote controller. It measures 52.4 x 23 x 8 mm and weighs about 15 grams, so it adds almost nothing to your setup.

It takes a standard nano-SIM (eSIM is not supported) and draws power over the host USB connection, so there is no separate battery or charger to carry.

Once fitted, it unlocks DJI Enhanced Transmission and Network RTK.

Enhanced Transmission routes part of the video and control link over the mobile network, which extends the working range well beyond the normal radio link, useful when terrain or buildings break line of sight.

Network RTK adds centimetre-grade positioning through the cellular connection when paired with a supported aircraft.

It supports a wide set of bands: TDD-LTE B34/38/39/40/41, FDD-LTE B1 to B71, WCDMA and GSM 850/900/1800/1900, so it works with most Sri Lankan and international networks through a nano-SIM.

A cellular-relayed 30-minute flight uses about 1 GB of mobile data, so plan your data allowance around your mission length.

Under good signal the link latency drops as low as about 200 ms, though weak or congested networks add delay. It is an accessory only, so you still need the drone, a nano-SIM and a data plan to fly with it.
