DJI Goggles 3 is the immersive FPV headset for first-person-view flying with the DJI Avata 2. You put it on, and the live camera feed fills your vision so you fly as if you are on board.
This is the headset only, so the drone is rented or brought separately.
DJI Goggles 3 is a wearable FPV headset that shows the live video feed from a compatible DJI drone in front of your eyes.
Inside are two 0.49-inch Micro-OLED screens running at 1920x1080 per eye, with a refresh rate up to 100 Hz and a 44 degree field of view, so the picture is sharp and smooth.
A built-in diopter adjustment from -6.0 to +2.0 D and an interpupillary distance range of 56 to 72 mm let most pilots use it without wearing glasses.
The video link is DJI O4, which reaches up to 13 km under FCC (10 km under CE/SRRC/MIC) with latency as low as 24 ms at 1080p/100fps and a peak bitrate of 60 Mbps.
A built-in 3000 mAh battery powers about 3 hours of use per charge, and a microSD slot supporting cards up to 512 GB records the transmitted feed for later editing.
It is important to understand that this is the goggles on their own.
It has no camera or flight ability of its own, so the DJI Avata 2 (or another DJI O4-compatible aircraft), its controller and their batteries are not part of the goggles and are hired or supplied separately.
Renting the headset is the easy way to try immersive FPV or add a second set of eyes to a shoot without buying one outright.
