Rent the DJI Phantom 3, a full-size camera drone with a stabilised 4K camera, for aerial coverage of weddings, events, property tours and outdoor shoots across Sri Lanka.

The DJI Phantom 3 is a full-size camera drone, or quadcopter, from DJI, the global leader in civilian drones. It has the classic white Phantom airframe measuring 350mm across the diagonal and flies at around 1.28kg.

On board is an integrated 1/2.3-inch 12.4MP camera mounted on a 3-axis stabilised gimbal, which keeps footage smooth even in a light breeze.

It records 12-megapixel stills and video up to 2.7K on the Standard and Advanced models, or full 4K UHD on the Professional model.

You fly it with the included remote controller paired to your own smartphone or tablet running the free DJI GO app, which shows a live 720p or 1080p view over DJI Lightbridge at a range of up to about 5km in open conditions.

GPS and GLONASS positioning give it a rock-steady hover and enable one-touch return-to-home plus intelligent modes such as Waypoints, Point of Interest and Follow Me.

One battery gives roughly 23 minutes of flight, and photos and footage are written to a microSD card that you supply.

It is an older-generation drone, so it has no obstacle-avoidance sensors and is bulkier than a modern folding model, but for a stable, cinematic aerial perspective at a friendly rental price it remains a dependable workhorse.
