A 10-metre HDMI 1.4 cable that carries Full HD 1080p video and audio from a laptop, PC or media player to a projector, TV or LED screen.
The extra length lets the source sit well away from the display in a hall or on a stage, and it is tested before every rental, so it just works on the day.
This is a 10-metre HDMI cable built to the HDMI 1.4 standard, with full-size HDMI Type-A male plugs on both ends.
Inside, a single shielded copper cable carries the video and the audio together as a digital signal, so one lead runs from your source device to the display and there is no separate sound cable to route.
The connectors are gold-plated and the cable is shielded to help keep the picture clean along the run, and it needs no external power.
It handles Full HD 1080p across the full 10-metre length with up to 10.2 Gbps of bandwidth, and the connection works either way round between two HDMI ports.
The reason to reach for 10 metres is distance.
A 3 or 5 metre cable is neat for a table beside the screen, but a 10-metre lead is what you want when the laptop sits at a podium and the projector hangs from the ceiling, or when the source is at a control table and the TV or LED screen is on the far wall of a hall.
Full HD 1080p stays reliable across this passive copper cable, which covers most presentations, events and venue displays.
It is not the cable for native 4K at this length, and passive 4K over 10 metres is not recommended, so if you need 4K over this distance choose an active, optical or HDMI 2.0 cable instead.
For a shorter, tidier run, a 3 or 5 metre cable is the better fit.
