This is a dedicated battery charger for the Sony NP-FW50 lithium-ion camera battery.
That single cell is what powers a large family of Sony Alpha mirrorless bodies, including the a6000, a6300, a6400, a6500 and the A7 II, so this charger is the small but essential piece that keeps those cameras working through a long day.
It takes standard AC mains input in the 100 to 240V range, which means it plugs straight into a normal Sri Lankan wall socket, and it delivers a regulated 8.4V DC output tuned to the NP-FW50 cell.
A built-in LED indicator reports the charge state, so you can see at a glance when a battery is topped up and ready to go back into the camera.
The charger is compact and light, easy to drop into a camera bag alongside the body and lenses, and simple to use with no settings to worry about.
Because it charges outside the camera, you can keep shooting on one battery while a spare recharges, then swap them over between scenes.
For a longer job you can cycle several NP-FW50 cells through the charger so there is always a fresh one ready.
It is a charger only, so the NP-FW50 battery is supplied separately unless you ask us to add one to your rental.
