This is a rental set of Panasonic eneloop pro AA rechargeable batteries, model BK-3HCCA, from Panasonic's premium eneloop pro line.
Each cell is a nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable delivering a nominal 1.2 volts with a high capacity of about 2550 mAh (minimum 2450 mAh).
That high-capacity rating is what sets the pro range apart from ordinary AA cells: it stores more energy per charge and holds its voltage steadily under heavy current draw, which is exactly what high-drain gear like camera flashes and wireless microphones need.
The cells arrive pre-charged and ready to load into any AA-powered device.
Unlike disposable alkaline AA batteries, these are designed to be recharged hundreds of times, and the low self-discharge chemistry means a charged set keeps roughly 85 percent of its charge after a year on the shelf, so pre-charged spares stay usable between jobs.
They handle a wide temperature range, rated down to around -20 degrees C, which suits cold early-morning and outdoor location work.
