Question 1

What's included when you rent the Sennheiser EW100 G4 Bodypack?

Accepted Answer

You get 01 x Sennheiser EW100 G4 (SK 100 G4) bodypack transmitter with 2 x AA batteries fitted. It is a transmitter only, so the matching EW100 G4 receiver, a lavalier or headset microphone and your mixer or PA are not included. We rent the receiver and clip-on mic separately, so tell us your setup and we will complete the kit.

Question 2

Is this a microphone on its own?

Accepted Answer

No. The bodypack is a belt-worn transmitter, not a standalone mic. A lavalier or headset microphone plugs into its 3.5mm locking input, and the pack sends that audio wirelessly to a matching EW100 G4 receiver. Without a mic plugged in, there is nothing for it to send.

Question 3

What do I need to actually hear the audio?

Accepted Answer

Three things alongside the bodypack: the matching Sennheiser EW100 G4 receiver, a lavalier or headset microphone, and a mixer or PA system to hear the output. We can rent all of these together so you have a complete wireless setup.

Question 4

How does the microphone connect to the bodypack?

Accepted Answer

Through a 3.5mm locking mic input on the top of the pack. A Sennheiser lavalier (collar) mic or a headset mic screws in securely so it will not pull loose during a talk or performance.

Question 5

How is it powered and how long does it last?

Accepted Answer

It runs on 2 x AA batteries, fitted for you at handover. Expect up to about 8 hours of use on a fresh set, depending on how it is run. Carry spare AA batteries for long events so you can swap them in seconds.

Question 6

How far will it transmit?

Accepted Answer

Up to about 100 m (330 ft) in clear line of sight. Real-world range is shorter in busy venues with walls, crowds and other wireless gear, so keep the receiver in view of the presenter where possible.

Question 7

Will it pair with any Sennheiser receiver?

Accepted Answer

It is built for the matching EW100 G4 receiver in the same frequency range. The receiver can sync to the pack over infrared for fast setup. It is not designed to pair with older or different-range Sennheiser systems, so rent the matching EW100 G4 receiver with it.

Question 8

Who is this bodypack for?

Accepted Answer

Presenters, lecturers, performers, worship teams, event hosts and film crews who need hands-free, wire-free audio. Anyone who wants to move and speak without holding a mic or trailing a cable.

Question 9

When will this item be available to rent?

Accepted Answer

The available date is not confirmed yet. We add items to our fleet based on customer demand and supplier lead time. Tell us via WhatsApp +94 777 186 500 that you need this item, and we will prioritise it and update you the moment it is rentable.

Question 10

Can I pre-order or reserve it now?

Accepted Answer

Reservations require the actual unit in stock and a security deposit, so we cannot formally reserve. We do keep a waitlist, and the first customers to message us about an item get first pick when it arrives.

Question 11

Is there a similar item available to rent right now?

Accepted Answer

Often yes. We stock other wireless mic systems and clip-on setups. Message us on WhatsApp with what you need it for, and we will suggest the closest wireless option available today.

Question 12

What ID and deposit do I need?

Accepted Answer

A refundable security deposit and a valid National Identity Card are required at handover for Sri Lankan customers. Foreign customers need a passport. The renter is liable for damage or loss, charged at actual repair or replacement cost.
