The Sony FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS is a full-frame E-mount ultra-wide zoom with a constant f/4 aperture, Zeiss T* coating and Optical SteadyShot.

This is the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS (model SEL1635Z), a full-frame Sony E-mount ultra-wide zoom lens co-developed with Zeiss.
It covers a wide 16 to 35mm range on a full-frame body, so at 16mm you take in sweeping landscapes, tall buildings and tight rooms, and at 35mm you have a natural wide angle for everyday scenes and portraits with context.
The aperture stays at a constant f/4 right across the zoom, so exposure and depth of field hold steady as you zoom in and out and your look does not shift when you reframe.
The Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating keeps flare and ghosting under control when you shoot toward windows, stage lights or the sun, and Optical SteadyShot (OSS) stabilisation steadies handheld stills and smooths handheld and gimbal video.
It uses 12 elements in 10 groups with a 7-blade rounded aperture for clean rendering, takes 72mm screw-in filters, and focuses as close as 0.28m for tighter detail shots.
Its dust and moisture resistant build suits travel and outdoor work, and at around 518g it is easy to carry on long shooting days.
On an APS-C E-mount body it gives roughly a 24 to 52.5mm equivalent view, so it still works as a useful wide-to-standard zoom on crop bodies.
It is a lighter, easier-to-carry choice than a large f/2.8 wide zoom, which makes it a favourite for real estate walkthroughs, hotel and resort interiors, wedding venues and travel.
