Rent the Sony HXR-NX100, a compact professional NXCAM camcorder that pairs a 1-inch sensor with a fixed 12x optical zoom lens and dual XLR audio for clean, run-and-gun Full HD coverage.
It is tested before every rental, so it is ready to shoot on the day.
The Sony HXR-NX100 is a handheld professional camcorder from Sony's NXCAM line, built for reliable Full HD (1080p) video.
It records at up to 60fps to SD cards through a fixed Sony G Lens with 12x optical zoom, so you can reach across a hall or a stage without changing lenses or losing quality.
Its 1-inch sensor gathers more light than the small sensors in ordinary consumer camcorders, giving cleaner footage in dim reception halls and a more professional look, backed by 14-megapixel stills and optical image stabilisation for steady handheld shots.
Where the HXR-NX100 earns its place on a shoot is its professional audio and long, comfortable handling.
Dual XLR inputs let you plug in balanced shotgun, lavalier or wireless microphones directly, so a wedding, interview or conference is captured with broadcast-quality sound rather than tinny built-in audio.
The camcorder body is balanced for extended handheld operation and delivers long record times, making it a trusted workhorse for videographers who need to keep rolling through ceremonies, speeches and live events.
It weighs about 1.79 kg, records to widely available SD cards, and outputs a clean feed suitable for live streaming to a switcher.
