The Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro is a professional live production video switcher from Blackmagic Design, built for streaming, recording and multi-camera content in Full HD.
It takes up to 4 HDMI sources at once, so you can plug in cameras, laptops, media players or capture devices in any mix, and cut or mix between them live using a hands-on hardware control surface.
Dedicated buttons give you clean cuts, auto transitions, picture-in-picture, chroma key for green-screen work and a downstream keyer for logos and lower-thirds, all frame-accurate.
It outputs a finished program feed over HDMI for the room's projector or screen.
What makes it a full studio in one box is everything that surrounds the switching.
A built-in 10/100/1000 Ethernet port streams directly to YouTube, Facebook Live and Twitch with no separate encoder computer, while the USB-C output turns the whole program feed into a standard webcam for Zoom, Teams, Meet or OBS.
It records the program as H.264 to a USB-C disk at the same time, and a built-in multiview lets the operator watch all four sources, program, preview and streaming status on a single HDMI monitor.
Audio is handled by a 6-input Fairlight mixer with EQ, compression and a limiter, fed by the HDMI sources plus 2 x 3.5mm inputs for lapel or handheld mics.
It runs on a 12V supply and switches Full HD 1080p at up to 60Hz.
