This is a standard 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable cell, the workhorse cylindrical battery found inside a huge range of portable gear.
The name comes from its size, 18mm across and 65mm long, which is the exact 18650 form factor.
It carries a nominal voltage of 3.7V, the standard for a single lithium-ion cell, charges up to a full 4.2V and should not be discharged below roughly 2.75V.
A typical cell holds between 1500mAh and 3500mAh, which is about 5.5Wh to 13Wh of stored energy, so the exact runtime depends on the cell we supply and the device you use it in.
Each cell has a positive terminal, either a raised button-top or a flat-top, and a negative base.
Cells can be protected, with a small internal circuit that guards against overcharge, over-discharge and short circuit, or unprotected flat-top cells used inside packs that have their own management.
Because it is rechargeable, you can top it up many times on a compatible lithium-ion charger rather than throwing it away after one use.
