The Avatar 150W Beam Moving Head is an LED stage light that throws a tight, punchy beam of colour and patterns while its head sweeps on motors.
It is a workhorse effect light for concerts, weddings, DJ nights and stage shows. This unit is coming soon to our rental fleet and can be reserved ahead.
This is a beam-type moving head fixture built around a 150W LED source, from the budget stage-lighting brand Avatar.
A beam moving head produces a narrow, concentrated shaft of light that you can see cutting through haze or darkness, and the head moves on pan and tilt motors so the beam sweeps, dips and points around the room.
In this class the fixture typically carries a colour wheel with several colours plus white, a gobo wheel for projected patterns, a rotating prism for multi-beam looks, and electronic strobe and dimming, all driven by fast motors for tight, snappy movement.
It is controlled over standard DMX512, so it slots into a programmed show alongside your other lighting, and it usually also offers auto and sound-active modes for smaller setups where no controller is set up.
Because it is a beam fixture rather than a wash, its job is punchy accents, aerial looks and pattern projection rather than flat, even coverage.
Exact figures such as the beam angle, colour and gobo counts, prism type and DMX channel count are estimated for this class and will be confirmed against the actual unit once we acquire it.
