A Big Dipper dual-lens red and green laser effect light that throws moving beams and patterns across your dance floor, walls and ceiling. Plug it in, switch to sound-active mode, and it dances to the music on its own.
This is a compact dual-lens laser effect projector from Big Dipper, a maker of stage and laser lighting.
It has two lenses, one red and one green, and the two colours cross and sweep to draw sharp beams, dots, tunnels and moving laser-network patterns over a room.
The values here are estimated from the Big Dipper K800 (red around 60mW, green around 20mW, 10-channel DMX512) and are confirmed on the actual unit before delivery.
It runs mains power and gives you three ways to control it: auto mode plays preset patterns with no setup, sound-active mode pulses the effects in time with the music through a built-in mic, and DMX512 mode puts it on a 10-channel personality so it can be programmed and synced with the rest of your rig.
It is built for dark rooms and night-time settings, where the beams and patterns really stand out.
Point it up and across the space and it covers a wide area from a single small box, so a DJ, a wedding stage or a house party gets a full laser look without a big lighting setup.
To see the beams travelling through the air, rather than only landing on surfaces, add a light haze or a smoke machine, which we rent separately.
Because it is a real laser, treat it with care: keep the beams above head height, never aim it at eyes, mirrors or aircraft, and follow the venue safety rules.
We test the red and green output and every mode, and clean the lenses, before each rental so it is ready to run on the day.
