This is the Sony single-bay AC charger for L-series InfoLITHIUM NP-F batteries, the BC-V615 class charger that camera and lighting crews rely on to keep power packs full.
It has one charging bay, so you clip a single NP-F battery onto the Sony cradle and let it run.
It fits the whole L-series family, from the smaller NP-F550 and NP-F570 through the NP-F750 and NP-F770 to the high-capacity NP-F930, NP-F970 and NP-F975, which is the de facto power standard for LED video lights, on-camera monitors, field recorders, wireless transmitters and camcorders.
The charger runs on a wide AC input of 100-240V at 50/60Hz, so it works straight off Sri Lankan 230V mains and on international shoots without a separate voltage converter.
It delivers a regulated 8.4V DC at 600mA and uses automatic current control, stepping the charge down as the cell fills and shutting off on its own when the battery is full.
A single front LED shows charging in progress and the full-charge state at a glance.
It is compact and light at around 64 grams, so several units stack neatly in a camera case or AV rack drawer for multi-battery turnaround.
Connection is mains-only through the AC plug or supplied cord, with no USB, DC input or pass-through output. Remember it is a charger only, so the NP-F battery is not included unless your order says otherwise.
