The aluminium pole telescopes up to about 1.7 metres (170 cm) so it stands at eye level on the floor, and it drops right down and folds to roughly 48 cm to travel in a bag.
It runs on three folding legs for a stable freestanding base, and the same pole doubles as a selfie stick once the legs are tucked away.
On top sits a phone holder that grips most smartphones, next to a standard 1/4 inch threaded mount that fits GoPro-style action cameras and lightweight compact cameras.
What makes it easy to shoot solo is the detachable Bluetooth remote.
It pairs with iOS or Android in your phone's Bluetooth settings and triggers photos and video from up to about ten metres away, then clips back onto the leg when you are done.
The head rotates and the arm angles, so you can frame vertical reels, horizontal video, or low and overhead shots without moving the whole stand.
It is built for phones and light cameras rather than heavy camera bodies, which keeps it light and quick to carry, set up and pack down. Every unit is tested and the remote is pairing-checked before it goes out.
