An HP Pavilion G6 laptop with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 15.6-inch screen running Windows.
A dependable, general-purpose machine for office work, browsing, presentations, study and short-term use, tested and cleaned before every rental.
This is an HP Pavilion G6, a 15.6-inch consumer laptop from HP's Pavilion range.
It pairs an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and an SSD, and runs Windows, so it starts up, opens your everyday programs and switches between web pages, documents and spreadsheets at a comfortable pace.
The large 15.6-inch screen gives you plenty of room to read, type and lay out windows side by side, and the full-size keyboard with number pad makes it easy to work through long documents or data entry.
A built-in HD webcam and microphone cover video calls, online classes and meetings.
It is honest about what it is: an older consumer laptop built for everyday tasks rather than heavy professional work.
That makes it a practical rental when you need a reliable Windows machine for a few days or a few weeks without committing to a purchase.
Connectivity is generous for the class, with HDMI and VGA outputs for projectors and external monitors, USB ports for your drives and accessories, wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
Whether you are covering a broken office laptop, kitting out an event registration desk, giving a student a machine for a term, or setting up a temporary workstation, it does the everyday job well.
For heavy editing, rendering or gaming, a business-class or higher-spec laptop is the better fit.
