Does this presenter work with MacBooks or only Windows laptops?

The R400 uses a plug-and-play USB receiver that works with most systems. We do not guarantee specific OS behaviour for every rental unit, so test compatibility during pickup or request Colombo same-day delivery to verify before your event.

How far can I stand from the laptop and still control the slides?

The 2.4 GHz wireless range is rated up to 15 metres. In practice, walls, interference, and CEB power-cut-related equipment restarts may reduce this, so keep a clear line of sight where possible.

Is the laser pointer bright enough for an outdoor presentation during monsoon overcast?

The Class 2 red laser is designed for standard indoor projection screens. Outdoor visibility depends on ambient light; overcast skies help but bright conditions will wash it out.

What happens if the AAA batteries die during my rental period?

The unit runs on 2 AAA batteries. We do not promise battery hours as unit state varies between rentals. Bring spare AAAs for multi-day events, especially during CEB power cuts when backup power may add interference.
