Rent the Sony NP-F970, the largest cell in Sony's NP-F family, to power LED video lights, field monitors, wireless receivers and NP-F camcorders on location.
Tested and charge-checked before every rental, so it just works on the day.
The Sony NP-F970 is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery from Sony's InfoLITHIUM L-series, the flagship pack in the long-running NP-F range.
It holds about 47Wh of energy, roughly 6600mAh at 7.2V, which makes it the biggest cell in the L-series and the reason it is a favourite for long shoots.
It slides onto the standard L-series contact plate that a huge ecosystem of gear has standardised around, so it is far more than just a camcorder battery.
That single mount is what makes this pack so useful on set, because the same battery you clip to a camera also drops straight onto a light or a monitor.
On a shoot it powers LED panel lights, on-camera field monitors, wireless audio receivers, small camera rigs and NP-F camcorders wherever mains power is out of reach.
Because it uses Sony's InfoLITHIUM data link, compatible Sony hosts can read the precise remaining minutes rather than a coarse bar gauge, so you know exactly when to swap.
The lithium-ion chemistry has no memory effect, so a partial top-up between sessions is safe and will not shorten the usable capacity.
We rent it as a spare pack, ideal as a hot-swap reserve when your main battery runs low mid-take, or as the main power source for a light-and-monitor kit on a location day.
A charger is not included by default, so simply ask us to add a compatible L-series charger if you need one for your shoot.
