The TX 2400W Power Amplifier is a professional 2-channel rack-mount power amplifier that drives passive PA speakers and subwoofers for events, DJ nights and live sound.
Rated at 2400W total output, it takes a signal from your mixer and sends the power your speakers need.
This is a TX professional 2-channel rack-mount power amplifier rated at 2400W total output.
Its job is to take a low-level audio signal from a mixer or source and boost it to the high-power level that passive loudspeakers need to make sound.
Passive speakers and subs have no amplifier of their own, so they rely on a separate power amplifier like this one to drive them over speaker cable.
The unit is built into a metal chassis for rack mounting and runs on 230V AC mains, with forced-air cooling to stay stable through long event hours under continuous load.
The amplifier accepts balanced XLR line inputs and sends audio out to speakers through SpeakON and binding-post terminals on each of its 2 channels.
A rear-panel mode switch selects stereo, parallel or bridged operation, so the same unit can run a stereo pair of tops, a single high-power cabinet or a subwoofer.
Front-panel indicators show signal, clip and protect status, and built-in protection covers short-circuit, DC, over-temperature and overload.
The 2400W figure is a total or peak rating across both channels, so it suits medium main speakers and subs rather than very large line-array rigs.
To make sound you supply the passive speakers, the speaker cable and the source, as those are not included.
