A powered 4-in 1-out HDMI switch that lets up to four laptops, consoles or media players share a single projector or display. You pick which source is on screen, without swapping cables.
It carries Full HD 1080p video and audio.
This is an HDMI switch (a selector), not a splitter. It has four HDMI female inputs and one HDMI female output, built to the HDMI 1.4 standard with up to 10.2 Gbps of bandwidth for Full HD 1080p and 3D content.
You connect up to four sources to the inputs and one display to the output, then select which input is routed to the screen.
A splitter does the opposite, sending one source to many screens, so if you need to duplicate a picture across several displays this is not the right unit.
Selection is done at the unit, so you move between a slideshow laptop, a video playback machine and a live console or camera feed without unplugging anything.
Because only one input is sent to the output at a time, it cannot show two sources side by side.
It is a powered switch and runs from an included power adapter for stable signal locking, which is useful in a boardroom or on a stage where several laptops or consoles need to share one projector, LED wall or large TV during the same session.
