A single-channel active DI box that turns an unbalanced instrument or line signal into a balanced XLR feed, so it can run over a long cable into your mixing console without noise or hum.
This is a generic single-channel active DI (direct injection) box.
Its job is to take an unbalanced, high-impedance instrument or line signal from a guitar, bass, keyboard, laptop or a mixer output and convert it into a balanced, low-impedance mic-level signal on a balanced XLR output.
That balanced output can then travel over a long cable into a mixing console or stage box without picking up noise or hum along the way.
