Its native resolution is XGA 1024x768 in a 4:3 aspect ratio, it produces 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness and it has a 20000:1 contrast ratio, so slides, teaching material, spreadsheets and video look clear and punchy in small and mid-size rooms.
What sets it apart is the short throw lens, with a 0.61:1 throw ratio.
That means it projects a large picture, around 80 inches, from under 1.5 metres away from the screen or wall, where an ordinary projector would need to sit several metres back.
The short throw geometry is the whole point of this model.
Because the projector sits close to the screen, the person presenting or teaching can stand right beside the image without casting a shadow across it, and without the bright beam shining into their eyes.
That makes it a natural choice for interactive whiteboard-style teaching, tuition classes and any tight room where there is simply no space to place a projector at the back.
Connections cover 1x HDMI, 3x VGA (D-Sub), composite video and USB, so it links to laptops, PCs, media players and older VGA sources, and keystone correction lets you straighten the image when placement is not perfectly square.
It weighs about 2.6 kilograms, so it is easy to carry between rooms and set up quickly.
