The kit pairs the BY-WHM8 Pro handheld transmitter with the RX8 Pro dual-channel receiver, so the microphone talks to the receiver over radio and there is no cable trailing from the person holding it.
The handheld body uses a dynamic cardioid capsule that focuses on the voice in front while pushing back sound from the sides and rear, which keeps the speaker clear and helps control feedback near loudspeakers.
It runs in the UHF band between 568 and 599 MHz across 48 selectable channels, so if another wireless device causes noise you scan for a clean frequency on the LCD in seconds.
The stated line-of-sight range is up to 100 metres, which comfortably covers a hall, banquet room or open stage.
