A rugged stage vocal mic for live events
The Samson Q7 is a professional handheld dynamic microphone for live vocals, speeches and announcements. Its tight supercardioid pattern keeps voices clear and cuts feedback on loud stages.
The Samson Q7 is a professional handheld wired dynamic microphone built for live vocals and speech.
It uses a neodymium dynamic element and a tight supercardioid pickup pattern, which focuses on the voice right in front of the grille and rejects sound from the sides and rear.
That off-axis rejection gives you more gain before feedback on loud stages with floor monitors close by, so vocals and announcements stay clear and present in a busy mix.
It ends in a balanced 3-pin XLR output and runs passively, so no phantom power is needed at the console.
Because it is a passive XLR microphone, the Q7 does not make sound on its own.
It needs a mixer, audio interface or amplifier feeding a speaker to be heard, and it connects over a balanced XLR cable, so it is not a plug-and-play USB or wireless mic.
Inside, a multi-axis internal shock mount isolates the capsule from handling thumps, and a built-in pop filter softens breath and plosive pops on close speech, while the die-cast body and steel grille shrug off the knocks of regular stage use.
It is a dependable, rugged workhorse for weddings, conferences, religious services, school events and small live bands across Colombo and the island.
Why Choose This Product
- Clear on loud stages: the supercardioid pattern focuses on the voice and rejects side and rear sound, giving more gain before feedback near monitors.
- Strong, present vocals: the neodymium dynamic element delivers a high, punchy output that helps speech and singing sit on top of a busy mix.
- Handles loud sources: built for high sound pressure levels, so it copes with close-up, powerful vocals without distorting.
- Quiet handling: a multi-axis internal shock mount and built-in pop filter cut handling thumps and breath pops when the mic is passed between speakers.
- Tough and road-ready: a die-cast body and steel grille stand up to repeated setup, teardown and multi-day events.
- Simple to connect: a standard balanced XLR output plugs straight into any live mixer, powered speaker or amplifier.
