A short 1-metre 3G-SDI cable that carries uncompressed 1080p video, with embedded audio, between two SDI devices sitting next to each other — a camera to a recorder on the same rig, a switcher to a nearby monitor, or a converter to the next device in a rack.
It uses locking BNC connectors and is built for tidy, no-slack patching. This item is available soon to rent in Sri Lanka.
This is a 1-metre 3G-SDI video cable built to the SMPTE 424M broadcast standard.
It is a single continuous 75-ohm coaxial lead terminated with BNC male connectors at both ends, so it plugs straight into professional SDI gear.
Rated for data rates up to 2.97 Gb/s, it carries uncompressed 1080p video at up to 60fps and can embed audio inside the same signal. It is a passive cable, so it needs no power.
Because it is an SDI cable with BNC connectors, both the source and the destination must have SDI (BNC) ports; it is not the same as HDMI and will not plug into an HDMI port without a converter.
At just 1 metre it is a patch or jumper lead — the right length for two devices mounted side by side, inside a rack, or on the same camera rig, with no excess cable to coil.
