A 3-metre 3G-SDI cable that carries uncompressed 1080p video, with embedded audio, over a short hop between SDI gear — a camera to a monitor or switcher on the same cart, a jump between racks a couple of metres apart, or a converter to a nearby device.
It uses locking BNC connectors and is built for tidy, short runs. This item is available soon to rent in Sri Lanka.
This is a 3-metre 3G-SDI video cable built to the SMPTE 424M broadcast standard.
It is a single continuous 75-ohm coaxial lead terminated with BNC male connectors at both ends, so it plugs straight into professional SDI gear.
Rated for data rates up to 2.97 Gb/s, it carries uncompressed 1080p video at up to 60fps and can embed audio inside the same signal. It is a passive cable, so it needs no power.
Because it is an SDI cable with BNC connectors, both the source and the destination must have SDI (BNC) ports; it is not the same as HDMI and will not plug into an HDMI port without a converter.
At 3 metres it is a short run — enough reach to link gear on the same cart, desk or small booth, or to hop between two racks nearby, without a long cable to coil away.
This item is available soon, so please confirm current availability before you plan around it.
