The Casio XJ-V1 is a single-chip DLP projector from Casio's lamp-free EcoLite and Core range. Instead of a traditional bulb, it uses a laser and LED hybrid light source.
This is the feature that sets it apart: there is no lamp to warm up, no cool-down wait when you switch off, and no bulb to replace part way through a rental.
The hybrid light source is rated for up to 20000 hours of use and is mercury-free, so it is a cleaner and greener choice than an old lamp projector.
It projects at a native XGA resolution of 1024x768 in a 4:3 aspect ratio, delivers 2700 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 20000:1 contrast ratio, which keeps text sharp and images clear in a normal classroom or meeting room.
The throw ratio of 1.54 to 1.71 to 1 lets it fill a wall or screen from a sensible distance in most rooms.
Connection is simple with HDMI, VGA/RGB (D-Sub) and RS-232C inputs, so a laptop, PC, media player or camera plugs straight in. Every unit is tested before it leaves us, so it just works on the day.
