A DisplayPort 1.2 cable that carries 4K UHD video and audio at 60Hz from a PC or laptop to a DisplayPort monitor, projector or LED display. It is tested before every rental, so it just works on the day.
A DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable built to the DisplayPort 1.2 standard, with standard 20-pin DisplayPort male connectors on both ends.
It links a computer, laptop or graphics-capable source to a DisplayPort monitor, projector or LED display.
The DisplayPort 1.2 specification gives it up to 21.6 Gbps of bandwidth (HBR2), enough to drive 4K UHD at 60Hz on a single screen.
The same bandwidth also handles 1440p at high refresh rates and 1080p Full HD up to roughly 240Hz, which is why it suits both crisp 4K workstations and fast-refresh gaming setups.
The connectors are gold-plated for stable contact and the cable is shielded to keep the picture clean around power leads and Wi-Fi.
It carries uncompressed digital video together with multi-channel audio down one lead, so there is no separate audio cable to run to the display.
Both plugs include a spring-loaded latch that locks into the DisplayPort socket, so the cable stays seated when equipment is moved behind a desk or rack.
It is plug-and-play, needs no external power, and is backward compatible with earlier DisplayPort 1.1 hardware.
The signal flows from the source device to the display only, which is normal for DisplayPort and the right fit for driving a screen from a PC or laptop.
