Question 1

What is included when you rent the DJI Matrice 400 RTK?

Accepted Answer

The rental includes 01 x Matrice 400 RTK drone, 01 x remote controller, 02 x batteries, 01 x charger and 01 x carrying case. Specialist payloads such as LiDAR, thermal or survey cameras are rented separately on request, so tell us your mission and we will quote the right setup.

Question 2

Do I need a licence or registration to fly it in Sri Lanka?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is an enterprise-grade aircraft, so it must be operated by a trained remote pilot and registered with the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL), with pre-approved flight zones. We can arrange a qualified operator through our operator booking section if you do not fly it yourself.

Question 3

How much payload can it carry and how long does it fly?

Accepted Answer

It carries up to 6 kg of payload with a maximum takeoff weight of 15.8 kg, and flies up to 59 minutes on a charge in ideal conditions. Real flight time is shorter with heavier payloads, wind and cold, so plan battery swaps for longer missions.

Question 4

How accurate is the RTK positioning?

Accepted Answer

The onboard RTK delivers 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal and 1.5 cm + 1 ppm vertical accuracy, which is survey-grade for mapping, cadastral work and inspection. For best results it needs a clear sky view and a correction source such as a base station or network RTK.

Question 5

Can it fly in rain or dusty field conditions?

Accepted Answer

It is rated IP55, so it handles light rain, dust and harsh field conditions better than a consumer drone. Heavy rain, strong wind and extreme conditions outside specification are still a risk and are flown at the operator's discretion.

Question 6

What sensing and obstacle avoidance does it have?

Accepted Answer

It uses an omnidirectional binocular vision system with rotating LiDAR, an upper LiDAR, a downward infrared sensor and six-direction mmWave radar, which gives strong obstacle awareness including near power lines and structures. This makes close-quarters inspection safer than on a standard drone.

Question 7

How far can it transmit and how many payloads can it run?

Accepted Answer

The O4 Enterprise Enhanced transmission gives a live feed up to 40 km (FCC), with lower limits under CE/SRRC/MIC regions and terrain. It has 4 E-Port V2 ports plus gimbal mounts, so it can run multiple payloads at once such as a camera, LiDAR and a searchlight.

Question 8

What can I use this drone for?

Accepted Answer

It is built for land and cadastral surveying, construction progress mapping, power-line and tower inspection, plantation and agriculture analytics, public safety, search and rescue and BVLOS missions. It is a heavy-lift platform, not a casual photography drone.

Question 9

Is a trained pilot available if I rent it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Because this platform needs survey and mission-planning know-how, we can pair the rental with a trained operator through our operator booking section. Tell us the site, the deliverable and the timeline and we will match the right pilot and payload.

Question 10

What ID and deposit do I need to rent it?

Accepted Answer

Sri Lankan customers need a valid National Identity Card and a refundable security deposit, and foreign customers need a passport. As a very high-value enterprise platform the deposit is significant and is confirmed at booking; the renter is liable for damage or loss at actual repair or replacement cost.

Question 11

What is the minimum rental period and do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours), with weekly and monthly rates for longer projects. We deliver same-day in Colombo and suburbs, and next-day or scheduled island-wide, and the drone can be combined with other rentals on one delivery.
