A passive UGREEN HDMI 1.4 coupler with an HDMI socket on each end. Plug one HDMI cable into each side and it joins them into a single run, carrying Full HD 1080p video and audio to your projector, TV or monitor.
The UGREEN HDMI Coupler is a small passive joiner with a full-size HDMI female socket on each end.
Its whole job is simple: you plug one HDMI cable into each side and it links the two cables into a single run, so the total reach is a little longer than one cable on its own.
It is built to the HDMI 1.4 standard and carries Full HD 1080p video and audio straight through the join on one connection, so you do not need a separate audio lead.
The connectors are gold-plated and the unit is shielded to help keep the picture clean and steady across the joint.
Because it is passive, it has no electronics and needs no power, no adapter and no USB feed.
That keeps it tiny and instant to set up, but it also means the coupler adds no distance by itself; it only rejoins what your two cables already carry.
The combined cable length therefore still follows the usual HDMI limits for 1080p, so this is best for a modest extension or for repairing a run that falls just short.
For a very long run where a single cable will not reach a far-mounted projector or display, an active HDMI extender or booster is the better choice, and we rent those too.
